The Truckee Wolverines lost against the Elko Indians back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Truckee took a serious blow against Elko, falling 64-9. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Truckee has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Truckee saw an underclassman step up: Sophia Killian scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Killian has scored all season.
Truckee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Elko, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Truckee and Sparks will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Elko, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pyramid Lake at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Pyramid Lake is ranked 11th, while Elko is ranked 12th).
