The Cristo Rey Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Faith Christian at home and fell 64-23. Cristo Rey has struggled against Faith Christian recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Faith Christian found their leader in underclassman Lauren Harris, who shot 8-for-17 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 40 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least a third of Faith Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Presley Berry, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Faith Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
Cristo Rey will head out on the road to square off against Sacramento Adventist at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sacramento Adventist will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Faith Christian will take on Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
