Brookwood has gone 7-1 against Norcross recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Brookwood will take on Norcross at 5:55 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brookwood has nine straight victories, Norcross has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Brookwood made easy work of Hillgrove and carried off an 11-1 win. Considering the Broncos have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Max Rogozinski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Dylan Larsen
03/25/25 @ Hillgrove | 3 |
03/10/25 @ North Gwinnett | 0 |
02/21/25 vs Loganville | 1 |
02/15/25 vs Washington County | 3 |
In other pitching news, Dylan Larsen and Joe Soto dominated on the mound. Larsen pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Soto pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Larsen posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Boomer Rogozinski, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Jacob Chan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Brookwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Norcross' offense. They came up short against North Gwinnett on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The shutout was out of character for the Blue Devils seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.
Brookwood's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Norcross, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
Brookwood beat Norcross 4-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookwood since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
