On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Kingsland's defense and their five sacks. Grand Meadow's QB won't forget Parker Johnson anytime soon given he sacked him twice. That's the most total yards Johnson has posted since back in September of 2023.
Meanwhile, Lanesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to Mabel-Canton at home by a 44-26 margin.
The victory got Kingsland back to even at 1-1. As for Lanesboro, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Kingsland against Lanesboro in their previous matchup back in October of 2023 as the squad secured a 46-0 win.
