Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Nordhoff's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

If Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Nordhoff, they should've done a better job of containing Cadence Renshaw. The Nordhoff Rangers blew past the Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica Seawolves 66-40 on Saturday thanks in part to Renshaw, who went 11 of 19 en route to 25 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Crystal Ramirez, who went 5 of 10 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Nordhoff is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Nordhoff will venture away from home to challenge Channel Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Channel Islands has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Nordhoff will come in with three straight wins. As for Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica, they will welcome Holy Martyrs Armenian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
