The Meadow Bridge Wildcats's 13-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Tuesday. They managed a 45-41 win over Richwood. The victory was just what Meadow Bridge needed coming off of a 63-37 loss in their prior game.
When it comes to explaining why Richwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grant Russell. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Barnhouse , who scored ten points.
Meadow Bridge's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Richwood, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge will challenge James Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully James Monroe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. Richwood is on the road again on Thursday and play against Bath County at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th.
