After flying high against the Rubidoux Falcons last Thursday, the San Bernardino Cardinals came back down to earth. San Bernardino was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 32-31 to the Rebels. San Bernardino was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 11th.
Despite the defeat, San Bernardino had strong showings from Rihanna Scott, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds, and Laniah Porter, who scored two points along with 16 rebounds and five blocks. Scott has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played.
San Bernardino has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Miller, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Bernardino will challenge the Pirates at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Pacific has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Miller, they will head out on the road to square off against the COYOTES at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Indian Springs is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
