Reedley extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-1. They put the hurt on the Dinuba Emperors with a sharp 12-2 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Alex Rodriguez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, Reedley let Rocky Garcia and Richie Badilla run wild. Garcia went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Badilla went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most runs Garcia has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Andres Razo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Reedley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
As for Dinuba, they now have a losing record of 2-3. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Dinuba's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madden Guerra, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Reedley has already played their next matchup, an 11-9 win against Central Valley Christian on the 7th. As for Dinuba, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Golden West on the 7th.
