The Charter Oak Chargers were the 32-30 winner over the Marshall Eagles when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Charter Oak was the victim of a rough 53-28 loss at the hands of Marshall on Monday.
Marshall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Destiny Ihiaso, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Ekpo, who scored 12 points.
Charter Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing El Rancho the next time they take the court. Marshall will head out to face El Rancho at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Charter Oak will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
