Harrison extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping them up to 24-4. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Alexander Cougars. For the Hoyas, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2019.

As for Alexander, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-3. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Alexander's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erin Vineyard, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Harrison will head out to face off against Allatoona at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Buccaneers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Alexander, they will be playing at home against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 2.2, the Lions 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
