Noah Tasi was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Kiker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Coalinga hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.
Legacy Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11.33 hits in those games compared to only 5.43 in the others.
