Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon). They really took it to the Castaic Coyotes for the full four quarters, racking up an 82-26 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cowboys as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Canyon found their leader in freshman Darby Dunn, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 16 assists, and ten steals. Those 16 assists gave Dunn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lanie Rafkind, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points and three steals.

The win got Canyon back to even at 10-10. As for Castaic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

When Canyon and Castaic next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Canyon will try to stop Hart's four-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Castaic will try to stop Nordhoff's four-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
