The Westminster Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-25 defeat at the hands of Segerstrom. Westminster has struggled against the Jaguars recently, as their game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Segerstrom to victory were Valeria Quero and Stephanie Valenciano. Quero scored 11 points along with six steals, while Valenciano scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Sasha Santos, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Segerstrom, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster will face off against the Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Segerstrom, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
