Basketball Recap: Vista Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

If Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vista, they should've done a better job of containing Isabella Mosley. The Vista Panthers managed a 51-45 victory over the Central Spartans on Wednesday thanks in part to Mosley, who posted 25 points. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game.

Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maryanne Barrett, who put up 11 points and eight rebounds. Janelle Thomas was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 boards.

The win was the third in a row for Vista, bringing their record for this year to 3-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Central, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-24 victory against Kearny on the 20th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-35 win against Brawley on the 19th.
