The Paoli Rams struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Lanesville Eagles had 700% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Paoli received a tough blow as they fell 52-36 to Lanesville. Paoli has not had much luck with Lanesville recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Paoli's loss came despite strong showings from Jehrico Hopper and Carley Higgins. Hopper scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds, while Higgins dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Higgins scored a full 44.4% of Paoli's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
It was another big night for Hadley Crosier, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists for Lanesville. The match was Crosier's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Kerr, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals.
Paoli's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lanesville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paoli will face off against Orleans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orleans will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Lanesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Borden at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Borden's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
