In what's become a running theme this season, the Valhalla Norsemen gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 54-19 victory over Santana at home. Given Valhalla's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while Santana is ranked 1237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Santana saw an underclassman step up: Harper Diaz scored ten points.

Valhalla will head out on the road to square off against Steele Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Steele Canyon is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Valhalla a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Santana, Santana and El Cajon Valley will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
