Archbishop Mitty came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish. The Monarchs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fightin' Irish, too.

Joseph Engin looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Felix Chang was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Derek Allen was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Archbishop Mitty pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
