Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colusa). They blew past the Paradise Bobcats 11-1 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the RedHawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Lucas Price was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Price was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Colusa got a massive performance out of Adan Travis, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Travis a new career-high. Carlos Franco also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Colusa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Colusa's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Paradise, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
