After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Perry finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wayne County Yellow Jackets. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Perry's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Wayne County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

While Perry had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
