The Ferndale Wildcats won the last time they faced the Lower Lake Trojans, and things went their way on Saturday too. Ferndale snuck past Lower Lake with a 44-39 victory.
Ferndale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tinnley Pidgeon, who scored 14 points. Reaghan Langer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rebecca Theodorou, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Theodorou hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Brooke Benson, who scored 10 points.
Ferndale now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lower Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Cloverdale the next time they take the court. Lower Lake will host Cloverdale at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, while Ferndale will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on December 14th.
