With a playoff win on the line, Crawford rose to the challenge on Thursday. They beat the Escondido Cougars by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 38-37. The win was nothing new for the Colts as they're now sitting on five straight.

Fatuma Abdi continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 25 points and six boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Crawford's points. Samitioata Fidow was another key player, scoring six points and ten rebounds.

Escondido lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Anaya McGlory, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abbey White, who posted six points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.

Crawford's victory bumped their record up to 18-14. As for Escondido, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-16.

Crawford has already played their next match, a 49-36 win against Nordhoff on the 4th. Escondido does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
