The A.L. Brown Wonders lost against the West Rowan Falcons back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. A.L. Brown was outmatched by West Rowan at home and fell 87-25. A.L. Brown has struggled against West Rowan recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Wonders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Laci Grier, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grier has scored all season.
A.L. Brown has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for West Rowan, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A.L. Brown will take on Hickory Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hickory Ridge will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. West Rowan on the road again on Friday and play against East Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. East Rowan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 270th, while West Rowan is ranked 24th).
