The Legend Titans will square off against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Legend is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.
On Wednesday, Legend got the win against Rock Canyon by a conclusive 12-4. Considering the Titans have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Maddie Kessel made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucy Thompson, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Reese Bryant, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one triple.
Legend kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Mountain Vista's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 10-7 to Ponderosa.
Brynn Galan stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel West, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.
Legend's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Mountain Vista, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-9.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Legend hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .424. However, it's not like Mountain Vista struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Legend was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain Vista when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 4-1. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
