Highland  took care of business in their home opener  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   6-1  win over the Arvin Bears. The  victory continues a trend for the Scots in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won five in a row.
 Jacob Berumen made a big impact no matter where he played. He  struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Berumen was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Diego Hernandez was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
