The Dos Palos Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 62-20 loss at the hands of Firebaugh. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dos Palos in their matchups with Firebaugh: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Dos Palos saw an underclassman step up: Hannah Slimp scored 13 points. That was a full 65% of Dos Palos' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Dos Palos' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-15. As for Firebaugh, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Dos Palos will be playing at home against Tranquillity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tranquillity comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Firebaugh, they will head out on the road to take on Avenal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
