Hillcrest had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Tahquitz Titans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reyna Garcia, who had 13 digs, three aces, and two blocks. Marley Tuliau was another key player, getting 11 kills, three digs, and two blocks.
Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Tahquitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
After both having extra time off, Hillcrest and Redlands will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tahquitz, they will take on Temecula Prep at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
