Highland is 0-6 against Bakersfield since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Highland Scots will be playing at home against the Bakersfield Drillers at 6:30 a.m. Highland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Highland suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 63-25 defeat at the hands of Independence. Highland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.
Meanwhile, Bakersfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 60-54 to Independence. Bakersfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Highland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Bakersfield, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Highland took a serious blow against Bakersfield when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 56-24. Can Highland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
