The Desert Scorpions will head out to  take on the Mojave Mustangs  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Mojave took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Desert, who comes in off a win.
Desert made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lone Pine, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Desert put the hurt on Lone Pine with a sharp  17-6 win on Monday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Scorpions.

 Desert let  Alex Mendoza and  Elijah Warfield run wild. Mendoza  scored four  runs and  stole  Five bases. while going 3-for-3, while  Warfield  scored two  runs and  stole  Six bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  Mendoza has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Jeremiah Warfield, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Mojave was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  24-1 to Kern Valley.
 Desert now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mojave, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
 Everything went Desert's way against Mojave in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024, as Desert made off with  a  15-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Desert since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
