The West Scranton Invaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Liberty, falling 65-37.
Liberty found their leader in underclassman Ava Kopetskie, who scored 14 points along with eight steals. Kopetskie is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ruby Miller, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
West Scranton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Scranton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Scranton Prep at 6:45 p.m. on January 3rd. As for Liberty, they will square off against Easton Area at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Easton Area is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
