After losing to the Hilmar Yellowjackets the last time they met, the Ripon Christian Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Ripon Christian came out on top against Hilmar by a score of 51-39 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ripon Christian.
Leading Ripon Christian to victory were Reagan Van der hoek and Maddie Yonker. Van der hoek dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds, while Yonker dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 15 rebounds, and ten steals. Van der hoek is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played. Kara Kessler was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Ripon Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Hilmar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Ripon Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverbank at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverbank presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ripon Christian in California (Riverbank is ranked 202nd, while Ripon Christian is ranked 531st). As for Hilmar, they will head out on the road to square off against Livingston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Livingston is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
