Blue Ridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Holbrook Roadrunners. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Brody Ellsworth made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Ellsworth was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cruz Ashcraft, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Brenton Newcomb was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI.

Blue Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Blue Ridge's record now sits at 12-10. As for Holbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Blue Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 victory against ALA - Ironwood on the 18th. As for Holbrook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-4 win against Winslow on the 20th.
