A Season-Best Effort from Bryce Wallum Leads Troup over Elkhart
Troup was led to victory by Bryce Wallum, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wallum rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Troup, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Wallum and Troup will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Diana at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Smith has become a key player for Arp: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

On Friday, West Rusk got the W thanks in part to Judson Dotson playing the best football he has all season. Dotson rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of West Rusk's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
