Coaches Game Summary

Spotting one of the best hitting teams in the state 7 runs never works out well. 4 walks, 3 hits and 7 runs in insurmountable. Then why don't I feel all that bad. Brandon Abdul did what every great baseball player has to do, he had a short memory, totally put that nightmare behind him and crushed the baseball going 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 rbis. Billy Layne is the third freshmen pitcher to see action this year and he did not disappoint. He threw 4 2/3 innings giving up only 2 earned runs. He gave up one of the longest home runs I've seen in recent memory and came back to strike out that same all state hitter an inning later. Dean continued his comeback from the abyss with two solid hits. 5-6 sucks, but we continue to answer some questions and are on tract to put a very good team on the field come tournament time. Our best lineup has not been found, but we are getting closer.
