The Aztec Tigers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Grants Pirates to 6 in the Tigers non-league win on Thursday.

The Tigers now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Kirtland Central for a non-league test on Friday, March 20. Aztec will play a Broncos team coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Broncos record now stands at 3-7.

The Pirates (5-6) will now prepare for their outing against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions go into the non-league test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Farmington nipped Uintah (Vernal, UT), 10-4, in a non-league test.
