Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) and the host Floyd Broncos (Floyd, NM), saw Melrose's baseball squad knock off Floyd by a count of 11-4.
Coming up next, the Buffaloes play the Grady/San Jon Coyotes (San Jon, NM) in a 2A/A District 5 battle, on Thursday, April 30. Melrose will attempt to move on its 9-1 season record. The Coyotes enter the battle with a 2-11 record after their 10-8 league loss to Logan (Logan, NM).
