New Mexico High School Baseball - Socorro defeats Magdalena
The Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) baseball trounced the host Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM), 10-4 in Thursday's non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Warriors play the Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM) in a 3A District 3 contest, on Friday, April 1. Socorro will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 6-4 record after their 15-2 non-league win over Mesilla Valley Christian (Las Cruces, NM).
The Steers now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Gallup Catholic for a 1A District 1 contest on Saturday, April 2. Magdalena will play a Panthers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Laguna-Acoma (New Laguna, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
