Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM) and the visiting Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM), saw Texico's baseball squad beat Melrose by a margin of 11-1.
Coming up next, the Wolverines play the Tucumcari Rattlers (Tucumcari, NM) in a 2A District 3 battle, on Saturday, March 26. Texico will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Rattlers enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 10-2 non-league win over Floyd (Floyd, NM).
