The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) and the visiting Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM), saw Tularosa's baseball team gain a win over Texico by a tally of 3-1.

The Wildcats (14-5) will now prepare for their battle against Cobre (Bayard, NM). The Indians enter the 3A District 3 battle with a 14-9 record. In their last battle, Cobre by Da Vinci (El Paso, TX), 10-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Wolverines face the Loving Falcons (Loving, NM) in a 2A District 4 battle, on Tuesday, April 28. Texico will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 12-9 record after their 7-4 league loss to Eunice (Eunice, NM).
