The West Mesa Mustangs basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Albuquerque Academy Chargers to 53 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manzano for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 1. West Mesa will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 57-52 non-league win over St. Pius (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs record now stands at 3-0.

The Chargers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Pius (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, St. Pius was nudged by Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 57-52, in a non-league contest.
