New Mexico High School Basketball - Quemado winner over Animas
The Quemado Eagles (Quemado, NM) basketball defeated the visiting Animas Panthers (Animas, NM), 63-49 in Saturday's league contest.
The Eagles now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reserve for a 1A District 5 contest on Saturday, February 21. Quemado will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 63-30 league loss to Cliff (Cliff, NM). The Mountaineers record now stands at 15-5.
The Panthers (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Immanuel Baptist (El Paso, TX). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 20-9 record. In their last contest, Immanuel Baptist ran past Bethel Temple (El Paso, TX), 44-24, in a league contest.
