Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM) and the host Animas Panthers (Animas, NM), witnessed Reserve's basketball squad nip Animas by a margin of 55-49.

The Mountaineers (4-19) will now prepare for their outing against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The SonBlazers go into the A District 2 outing with a 12-9 record.

The Panthers now own a 2-20 record. They play next when they travel to Quemado for a A District 2 outing on Tuesday, February 20. Animas will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 49-33 league loss to Cliff (Cliff, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 14-9.
