With the victory, Artesia improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM) to battle the Cavemen in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Cavemen come into the battle with a record of 10-5. Carlsbad won 42-39 in their recent non-league battle against Cathedral (El Paso, TX)

The Wildcats (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Mayfield dropped by Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 52-41, in a non-league battle.
