New Mexico High School Basketball - Aztec ripped by Gallup
The Gallup Bengals basketball team scored 79 points and held the host Aztec Tigers to 35 in the Bengals league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bengals now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farmington for a 5A District 1 contest on Friday, January 29. Gallup will meet a Scorpions team coming off a 64-36 non-league win over Shiprock (Shiprock, NM). The Scorpions record now stands at 16-3.
The Tigers (1-17) will now prepare for their contest against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots enter the 5A District 1 contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Miyamura triumphed over Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM), 56-48, in a league contest.
