New Mexico High School Basketball - Gallup nudges Cibola
In Wednesday's league outing, the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) basketball squad edged the visiting Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 50-44.
The Bengals (18-3) will now prepare for their outing against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Rams go into the 5A District 1 outing with a 12-12 record. In their last outing, Rio Rancho nipped West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM), 79-73, in a league outing.
The Cougars now own a 6-15 record. They take the field next when they host West Mesa for a 5A District 1 outing on Friday, February 6. Cibola will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 79-73 league loss to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-12.
