In Friday's league outing, the Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), by a margin of 64-38.

The Bears (14-3) will now prepare for their outing against Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM). The Trojans go into the A District 5 outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Wagon Mound was trounced by Springer (Springer, NM), 89-21, in a league outing.

The Rams now own a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Roy/Mosquero for a A District 5 outing on Thursday, February 7. Cimarron will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 44-39 league win over Des Moines (Des Moines, NM). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-8.
