Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM), 56-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cliff upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Cowboys/Cowgirls travel to Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 17. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Cloudcroft won 65-48 in their recent non-league bout against Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM)

Next up, the Indians play the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 13. Cobre will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 55-40 non-league loss to Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM).
