In Saturday's league test, the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) basketball squad trounced the visiting Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM), by a score of 62-30.

Next, the Bears encounter the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) in a 2A District 3 test, on Tuesday, February 11. Cloudcroft will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record. The SonBlazers come into the test with a 16-3 record after their 57-24 non-league win over Loving (Loving, NM).

The Chiefs (4-17) will now prepare for their test against Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Tigers come into the 2A District 3 test with a 2-19 record. In their last test, Capitan was routed by Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM), 76-31, in a league test.
