Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM), 67-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clovis upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM) to clash with the Sundevils in a non-league bout on Monday, April 5. The Sundevils go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Espanola Valley lost 87-36 in their recent non-league bout against Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM)

Next up, the Rockets clash with the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 6. Goddard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 67-56 non-league win over Artesia (Artesia, NM).
