The Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM), 77-52 in Friday's non-league test.

The Eagles (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldawgs go into the 6A District 3 test with a 15-0 record. In their last test, Las Cruces walloped Gadsden (Anthony, NM), 82-60, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Goddard for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Clovis will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 62-61 non-league loss to Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Rockets record now stands at 8-8.
