The Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM) basketball nipped the host Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM), 57-54 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds go into the 3A District 1 test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Zuni was tipped by Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM), 62-25, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Thoreau for a 3A District 1 test on Tuesday, April 20. Tohatchi will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 65-58 league loss to Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 6-3.
